Centre Lalla Meryem — Orphan Care

What you’ll be part of

Part of the Moroccan League for the Protection of Children, Centre Lalla Meryem provides care for orphaned children from birth to six years old. It currently hosts 123 children — 50 of whom live with disabilities such as cerebral palsy, trisomy 21, motor impairments or autism. Orphans attend Rabat public and private schools from age three, supported by specialized social workers and nurses.

Your day to day

• Assist with bathing, meal preparation, and walks under social-worker guidance
• Help organize educational, sports, artistic and cultural activities
• Support partnership programs with public schools (integrated classes)
• Tailor activities by age band (4–7, 8–11, 12–16, 17–20)

What this project is working toward

• Enhance quality of life for disabled and orphaned children
• Nurture potential and prepare them for future achievements
• Facilitate adoption processes where applicable
