Volunteer in Morocco — and come home with a story that outlasts the year.
Whether you reach us through your national ICYE committee or apply to CSM directly, we handle placement, orientation, host families, and ongoing coordination — so you can focus on the work and the culture.
From application to arrival.
- 01
Apply through your sending organization
Choose three project preferences and write a motivation letter describing your skills, interests, and goals. We work with ICYE partners across Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia.
- 02
CSM places you within a week
Placements are arranged on a first-come, first-served basis. We email a pre-arrival info pack about three weeks before your departure.
- 03
Arrive in Rabat
Land at Rabat-Salé Airport or arrive at Rabat-Ville train station. A CSM coordinator meets you and connects you with your host family.
- 04
Three-day orientation, then your project
A mandatory orientation in Rabat covers language, culture, safety and project context. Then your placement and host family begin.
What it costs to participate.
CSM is a non-profit and does not receive public funding. Fees cover orientation, coordination, host-family contributions, project costs and ongoing support. Travel, visa and vaccinations are arranged independently.
We help you stay legal — and welcome.
- European volunteers can stay up to 90 days without a visa. CSM begins extension paperwork one week before that limit.
- Non-EU volunteers apply for a tourist visa or residence permit. We supply the supporting documents — invitation letter, project contract, and proof of host.
- Pre-arrival packs land in your inbox three weeks before departure, with travel instructions and your project info sheet.
