The project
What you’ll be part of
AMSAT welcomes, listens to, and guides children with Down Syndrome and their families. It promotes inclusive education and self-determination, and works for the social integration of people with Down Syndrome across family, school, work, sports and cultural settings. Volunteers play a pivotal role in bringing joy into the lives of these children and helping the NGO improve their daily routines.
Volunteer tasks
Your day to day
- Welcome and accompany children and their families during daily activities
- Support meal preparation, gardening, cleaning, and companionship
- Initiate creative projects, songs, and games
- Help develop personalized life plans alongside specialized staff
- Advocate for inclusion in school, sports, and the community
